چکیده
Abstract Background Understandings of subtypes atypical atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT) using variants slow pathway (SP) are still growing. Inferolateral (inf-lat-) left atrial (LA) SP is a rare variant extending into an inf-lat-LA along the mitral annulus (MA). Purpose To characterize unknown subtype fast-slow (F/S-) AVNRT inf-lat-LA-SP as retrograde limb (inf-lat-LA-F/S-AVNRT). Methods This Japanese multicenter retrospective study enrolled 4 patients inf-lat-LA-F/S-AVNRT that was characterized by earliest site activation during (EAA) between 3 and 6 o'clock MA. The diagnosis made exclusion AV (AVRT) (AT) according to standard criteria confirmed successful elimination inf-lat-LA-SP. Results Surface ECG revealed long RP appearance except one who had short due conduction time across During tachycardia, far-field LA preceding near-field coronary sinus (CS) musculature visible in CS recording 2. Retrograde via with decremental delay consistently reproducible ventricular stimulation 2, 1 whom double response, while it always masked presence fast block at lower common 1. An injection small dose ATP transiently interrupted over inf-lat-LA-SP, suggesting its ATP-sensitivity. Exclusion AVRT no resetting extrastimulus 2 VA dissociation overdrive pacing remaining AT V-A-V response after entrainment termination without capture Ablation right-sided unsuccessful eliminate but ablation or near EAA transseptal approach cure associated following development accelerated junction rhythm all. Low-frequency potentials local activation, consistent were detected MA medial Conclusions Differential especially should include inf-lat-LA-F/S-AVNRT. Presumed arrhythmogenic substrate seemed be remnant embryogenic ring tissue electropharmacological locational characteristics. Successful this can obtained not SP. Left Septal Slow Pathway Ablation for Atrioventricular Nodal Reentrant Tachycardia.
BACKGROUND Immunohistochemistry studies suggest that the anatomic substrate of the slow pathway in atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT) is the left inferior nodal extension. We hypothesized that slow pathway ablation from the left septum is an effective alternative to right-sided ablation. METHODS AND RESULTS We analyzed our databases of AVNRT in search of cases that had used ...
متن کاملAtypical Fast-Slow Atrioventricular Nodal Reentrant Tachycardia Incorporating a "Superior" Slow Pathway: A Distinct Supraventricular Tachyarrhythmia.
BACKGROUND The existence of an atypical fast-slow (F/S) atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT) including a superior (sup) pathway with slow conductive properties and an atrial exit near the His bundle has not been confirmed. METHODS AND RESULTS We studied 6 women and 2 men (age, 74 ± 7 years) with sup-F/S-AVNRT who underwent successful radiofrequency ablation near the His bundle...
متن کاملSelective radiofrequency catheter ablation of the slow pathway for common and uncommon atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia.
The utility of selective radiofrequency catheter ablation of the slow pathway for the treatment of common and uncommon atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT) was studied in 110 consecutive patients, 94 with slow-fast form common AVNRT, and 11 and 5, respectively, with the fast-slow and slow-slow forms of uncommon AVNRT. Ablation sites were determined by mapping a late and spiky "s...
متن کاملCatheter Ablation of Atypical Atrioventricular Nodal Reentrant Tachycardia.
BACKGROUND Because of its low prevalence, data on atypical atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT) are scarce, and the optimal ablation method has not been established. Our study aimed at assessing the efficacy and safety of conventional slow pathway ablation, as applied for typical cases, in atypical AVNRT. METHODS We studied 2079 patients with AVNRT subjected to slow pathway ab...
متن کاملRadiofrequency catheter ablation of atypical atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia.
INTRODUCTION Published reports of radiofrequency ablation of atypical atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT) have been limited. We present our experience in 10 consecutive patients with atypical AVNRT who underwent radiofrequency ablation of the "slow" AV nodal pathway. METHODS AND RESULTS There were 9 females and 1 male; their mean age was 44 +/- 19 years (+/- SD). The mean AVN...
